First prototypes and demos.

The funding from Fondo de Emprendedores de la Fundación Repsol and NEOTEC Program from CDTI helped to boost the initial activities to standardize Fuelium’s battery technology and to meet the requirements of the initial application market (in-vitro diagnostics), focused in integrating FUELIUM paper batteries as an energy module in rapid diagnostic systems as a sustainable and efficient alternative to current button cells.

Smart cassette demos

Fuelium received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to demonstrate heating capabilities for low-cost, point-of-need molecular testing on paper, all powered by disposable paper batteries.
